Initially operating from a small desk within the Kanoo Group, Admaf utilized existing cultural hubs like the Cultural Foundation and the National Theatre. Kanoo organized school bus tours, bringing students to experience concerts, operas, and ballets, aiming to broaden their horizons and provide exposure to the arts.

Early programs were self-funded by Kanoo and her husband, Mohamed Abdul Latif Kanoo, before the foundation gained traction. The initiatives expanded across schools and various locations, incorporating workshops and masterclasses that connected artists with students.

The Abu Dhabi Festival, launched in 2004, evolved from Admaf's existing work, maintaining a balance between major performances and community engagement. The festival has since hosted renowned international artists and ensembles, many of whom participated in Admaf's outreach programs.

Admaf and the Abu Dhabi Festival have also engaged in international co-commissions and exhibitions, fostering cultural exchange and providing opportunities for Emirati talent. These collaborations aim to create lasting knowledge and investment in the arts for future generations.
