Dubai CommerCity (DCC) is set to significantly expand its facilities with an investment of Dh1.8 billion ($272.2 million) as part of its second phase of development. This expansion aims to bolster Dubai's digital economy and strengthen its position as a global hub for technology and e-commerce. The expansion project will be rolled out in phases, with completion expected between the first quarter of 2027 and the fourth quarter of 2028. The initiative will introduce new projects across DCC's Business, Logistics, and Social Clusters. Collectively, these projects will add more than 91,000 square meters of new office and logistics space. This increase in capacity is designed to support companies operating within the digital commerce and technology sectors, enhancing the free zone's integrated ecosystem. The expansion is a response to high demand, with current occupancy rates at nearly 96 percent across existing office, logistics, and retail spaces. This move aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33, which seeks to double the size of Dubai's economy by 2033 and establish the emirate as a leading global city. New office spaces will be added across six buildings in the Business Cluster, offering various solutions from shell-and-core to plug-and-play options. The Logistics Cluster will see the addition of 'The Hive,' a 5,600 square meter facility featuring 181 flexible units, climate-controlled areas, and digitally managed loading zones.
